January is a spectacular time to visit Ibiza. The almond blossom is in abundance. In the months of late January and early February around Santa Agnes the almond blossom is a spectacle which the islanders love to see. Orchards of white blossom surround the trees in this part of the island. With much quieter roads at this time of year and mild temperatures we can highly recommend the island. Many of the restaurants are open, less so in the resorts of course but this time of year is all about the islanders.
Even more spectacular is to see the almond blossom under a full moon. Walk down the farmers tracks or in the olive groves and reflect as you look skyward, the blossom illuminated from the reflected light of the moon. This is Ibiza at it’s best for us. Of course from May through the summer months, it transforms into the hedonistic hotspot of the Mediterranean. If you want more of the party lifestyle then the quiet winter months are not for you.
Flights to Ibiza are direct from City Airport in London. Otherwise it’s a change at Palma de Mallorca or Barcelona International Airport El Prat.
We LOVE Ibiza during the winter and we think you will too!
