Add Action Campaign

Our first glimpse of the billboard image for Add Action ketamine awareness campaign.

Add Action is a charity funded organisation that helps people with substance misuse problems and provides a potential road to recovery treatment service. They approached Britton Brothers to provide imagery for a billboard and poster campaign aimed at young people who take the drug Ketamine. Ketamine can seriously reduce bladder capacity and in extreme cases lead to users having urostomy bags fitted. The campaign saw the images also printed on toilet ad spaces in pubs and bars to bring awareness to the side affect of this drug.

Studio portrait which focused the viewers attention on the opaque bag which heavy users may need. Strong and direct lighting with an overlay of graphic font to get the message across to young substance users. Careful consideration to the overall feel, clothing and lay-out to draw attention to the urostomy bag and give viewers the reality and traumatic results of overuse of this powerful and destructive drug.

Post capture we Combined our knowledge of post production techniques, portrait photography and graphic design to produce everything in-house for print. The Capture One software for photography and Photoshop for print ready files were necessary skills needed to complete every aspect of this campaign.

Add Action continue to bring awareness and offer support for alcohol and other substance misuse in the Yorkshire area. They are part government funded and part charity which relies on the generosity of individual donations. Any help you can offer this charity would be greatly appreciated.
