There is no better time to commission a portrait photographer than when you are on holiday.

Here on Mallorca, Menorca and Ibiza we are becoming busier with portrait commissions from families and individuals alike. It is easy to understand why. With our lives becoming ever busier, a family portrait is really the last thing on your list of things to do at home. When you’re on holiday however, there is no better time to grab a momento. It will undoubtedly be a good family time together.

The kids are happy, you’re happy and everyone is looking well. The execution of a shoot like this would take no more than two hours. We usually meet the commissioners thirty minutes before the shoot. Meeting in a cafe to introduce ourselves gives our sitters the time to feel comfortable with being in front of the camera. Importantly, the kids also get familiar with our presence and we can build a rapport.

If it’s a a shoot with one person or a couple then the format will be different. We can discuss the style of the shoot beforehand. Model portfolios can be stylised to suit your needs but also our style and expression, through composition and lighting. The streets of Palma, Ibiza Town or Ciutadella are the perfect backdrop. Alternatively, the many beaches across the islands have served us well and we would normally choose the golden hour around sunset. Beautiful light and beautiful towns and villages are the perfect setting for family portraits and individual or couples alike.
