Santa Barbara
Santa Barbara is the premier finca space on Menorca. In fact, in my opinion it is the best villa space I have come across yet, across the islands. With ten years experience of traveling across the islands to photograph weddings and events, this space ranks as number one. Of course this would very much depend on what you want from a venue. Certainly, there is no sea view from an uber modern villa you may get from Ibiza. Neither is there a mountain backdrop from the Serra de Tramuntana on Mallorca. What this venue offers however, is twenty hectares of well manicured gardens. From the approach from the car park, you walk along a pathway. On your right are dry stone shelters for various animals and on your left is a duck pond. Immediately you appreciate nature and the owners love for animals.
You could be forgiven for thinking you were a character in Alice in Wonderland as you follow the path to the villa, with a couple of turns here and there the vast garden appears beyond the dry stone wall. There are many types of tree and cacti and a vivid green lawn which must be saturated in water every morning. As you walk toward the reception area, pool and bar, there is a second pond and many rockeries. Here your guests will relax before the ceremony and wedding breakfast.
From a photographer’s perspective, we had one of the best days capturing some truly memorable moments. Working alongside s’Algar Catering, we delivered a spectacular event for everyone. The compliments from the guests were well deserved for the caterers and wedding planning. Access for the caterers for this villa is well considered. All the humdrum will not disturb you and your guests. The landscape design has been designed to deliver only the best get-together and workers access has been taken into consideration.
