Destination London Wedding

Last week we were privileged to be photographing a wedding at the Four Seasons in London off Park Lane. One of a handful of luxury five star hotels around the green parks of the capital. This London location was something really special. With just a two hour flight from our bases across the Balearics, our customer in England considered some key factors before deciding to fly us to her destination wedding.

When considering a photographer it’s worth asking some key questions before making your final decision and paying for flights and accommodation.

One of the most important questions is whether you appreciate the style of the photographs produced in the photographer’s portfolio. All photographers shoot in a reportage way so asking photographers to capture things as they unfold, is a given. We have all adapted this style of shooting at weddings nowadays. What is more important is how the photographer captures other things and in particular the more structured photographs such as still life and posed portraits.

Using and manipulating the environment and the light will create a beautiful photograph. To do this quickly is essential. When considering a photographer there will be subtle changes in the reportage style but also consider the photographs and portfolios where there is formality to the shot.

The person behind the camera should also be well considered. You will be spending one of the most important days of your life with the photographer. A good professional will always be well mannered, discreet and confident. This is not a given, believe it or not.

Cost is obviously a factor for couples who are working to a budget. You’ll find all photographers work in different ways and have a range of fees. Have a read through our ‘Q&A’ in the About section for our fee.

Enjoy looking through our Portfolios.
