Hotel Mardavall
The wedding season has started and to kick it off in style we have been at the Hotel Mardavall near Son Caliu, just to the west of Palma and east of Palma Nova. The grounds of the hotel reach down to the shore. The gardens are extensive but privacy is given by a gated and walled area. You get somewhat of an idea of the superb gardens and how large they are from some of the photographs here.
The wedding ceremonies are held on the lawn at the rear of the hotel. In the unlikely event that the weather is against you, you have very good facilities within the hotel. Because we are still in March, the guests had the wedding breakfast in the function room. Here you can see the standard which the hotel works toward to make sure everything is presented to the very best of standards..
Your guests have the luxury of an amazing spa, superb restaurants and bar areas. In addition verandas overlooking the sea and swimming pools to cool down under the hot Mediterranean heat. It has everything to keep you happy. Only fifteen minutes drive from Palma, you can have the culture of a large city with theatres and restaurants, if you wan tot venture out.
We had the pleasure of capturing a wedding for a couple near Chester in England. A lively bunch who were engaged with the photography right from the start. They made my commission so much easier with their enthuiassm. I captured some really unique moments from a very special day for the couple.
The weather was perfect during the day. If you’re wanting cooler temperatures, away from the heat of July and August then you really should look at the end of March and April. For me, the best time of the year to enjoy a wedding celebration. Photographers also have an easier time when they’re running around with camera gear!
