Hotel Park Hyatt
The Park Hyatt Hotel is located on the east of the island near Canyamel. The hotel has several buildings connected by paths where bridges over running water, waterfalls and rockeries have been landscaped to give the feel of wondering back to your room in the most pleasant of environments.
The main reception area is spacious and light and beyond it is the sunken garden where the sound of water is never too far away. A place which reminded me of a zen garden, peaceful and well designed. Beyond the garden are views which show the beautiful landscape in this part of the island. Elevated so the sea is in view to the east, the undulating landscape gives an interesting backdrop to any photographers working here.
The wedding ceremonies are hosted in a purpose built area next to the reception. It shares the same spectacular views as the sunken garden. A large terraced area where the ceremonies and the receptions are held.
We are often here photographing either weddings or couple portraits. The surrounding area has a wealth of environments to maximize any photo session. This Park Hyatt wedding had another interesting dimension. We had two ceremonies to photograph. The first was an Indian Hindu which was early in the morning and the second a Christian wedding in the late afternoon.
