The Fiesta Horses

If you have ever visited Menorca over the summer then you will undoubtedly know of the fiestas. The parties celebrate the town’s patron saints. Each town has it’s own patron saint. In addition to the party revelers, fireworks, Pomadas, music and festivities, there are of course, the horses and riders.

In addition to the party revelers, fireworks, pomadas, music and festivities, there are of course, the horses and riders.

We had the pleasure and privilede of photographing this experienced rider. She is part of a group of many horses and riders who perform through the summer. She very kindly prepared the horse as it would appear in the fiesta and we had them to ourselves for two hours in field near Mahon.

All prints are printed on archival premium fine art paper and ink. This rider is one of the youngest to ride in the Mahon fiesta. This year sees us start our ongoing personal project which sees people come together in celebration. We will be in Mahon and Ciutadella but also heading to the Mainland to Pamplona to see the running of the bulls.

A beautiful Menorquin mare and fiesta rider. All prints can be purchased via our contact page. The prices are dependent on size.
